Note
Le Sel de la terre, tourné en Camargue en 1950. Il montre la lutte contre l’invasion du sel, un fléau qui menace de transformer le pays en désert car on a oublié les anciens qui, avec leurs stations de pompage, leurs digues et leurs réseaux de canaux d’écoulements étaient arrivé à maîtriser les désastres causés par le sel. C’est une leçon d’actualité sur l’écologie, sur les relations homme/nature. Film de commande pour promouvoir le plan Monnet, le sel de la terre vante la réhabilitation du système d'irrigation et la culture du riz en Camargue.
