Biographical history

Research project dedicated to critical examination of contemporary culture and society through video. Founded in 1993 in post-Olympic Barcelona, emerging from La 12 Visual, an independent video association created by filmmakers including Nuria Canal, Joan Leandre, and Toni Serra. Since 1996 it has organized research projects and video screenings at the CCCB and MACBA. In 2004 its archives received the National Cultural Heritage Award from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Response to September 11th, Film Clips commissioned Academy Award winning filmmaker Chuck Workman to create a 3-minute montage from the history of cinema celebrating the spirit of America. Presented as a gift from the entertainment community to America. It played more than 10.000 screens throughout the USA. Episode 1 "The Pilot". 28', American School Counselor Association, USA. 2002.
