              The metro, subway, "mass rapid transit" or "em-er-ti", is not just a set of signals, but itself a signal left by the 19th and 20th centuries to our urban culture. Work developed during the Quinzena d'Art de Montesquiu QUAM 1997. Inspired in "Agents Infiltrats" workshops led by Toni Serra. Finished during art residency 1998 in HANGAR sponsored by QUAM. Created using the multimedia software Director 5.

              Monument Valley uses archival images from various sources, images related to the famous south-western USA landscape and tourist attraction, tourists and fragments from classic Western films. This video blurs the boundaries between past and present.

              Year 1992, the US presidential elections seen through the pirated satellite images of media corporations. Brian Springer reveals the wings of the media stage, contrasting footage from two different sources: the official media images beamed out to homes all around the world, and images meant for internal use by mass media multinationals. Images of collaborators, spin doctors, politicians and media agents preparing strategies to defeat the enemy in the arena of the television spectacle.
