En él se conocen las condiciones sociales, antropológicas y artísticas a las que se enfrentan los campesinos indígenas mixtecos oaxaqueños para representar la Maroma. Practicada durante generaciones con el fin de entretener a la gente, ésta expresión al borde de la extinción, es alimentada y defendida por sus intérpretes.
