A little girl sleeps wrapped in her blankets. A lampshade that projects large areas of shadow is the source of a brightness that spreads from the inside of a room, like the circles generated by a stone thrown into the water, until it reaches the most distant places. What is manifested inside reverberates in the environment outside, because it is made of the same material. The video is a chant, a natural prayer in order to live as long as possible.

A film based on the Neapolitan cult of dead. It is said that these dead people call out in dreams, and sometimes appear in a crowd: the stranger who is staring at you. They want to be acknowledged. So you adopt a skull, one of the thousands of human remains that can be found below the city. This ancient cult that has been practised until recently has left traces, traditions and beliefs.

« Go and see what we left behind... » With these words in mind, a filmmaker journeys into a discovery of an almost abandoned and little known country: Albania. Her film is an impressionist journey, a moving tale cast in footprints, vivid memories and free thinking narration that takes an overview of the past sixty years of the country. The communist dictatorship seems to be jumbled up with the neo-liberal democracy which dominates every detail of daily life, the lost beauty of the landscapes and the limitless stories of emigration. Little by little, developing over various appearances, the film unveils a tormented country whose inhabitants are living more and more outward looking lives as they struggle to retain a sense of belonging in their own homeland.

The post-war period and the New World Order told through documentaries, war films, propaganda and photographs. Waco, Oklahoma City, September 11, the war on terrorism and Special Laws, the "Other America" and the destruction of the 10 amendments. Impero is born from the need to bring together counter-information and journalistic rigor, continuing the operation that began with the radio spots "Iraq 2 special edition", "death for sale" and "the black mirror of democracy".

The protagonist of this film is a building. On the perimeter of Rome like a monolith in the open countryside stands a municipal housing complex from the seventies: Corviale. This ravaged concrete structure, which stretches for over a kilometre, has become the embodiment of a failed utopia from an urban planner's drawing board. Designed as a self-sufficient city, for decades this “palazzo” has largely been left to the devices of its eight thousand residents.

An Italian documentary that looks at how television manipulates and exploits women's bodies. It all started with the observation that women – real women – are an endangered species on television, one that is being replaced by a grotesque, vulgar and humiliating representation. This is an enormous loss: the erasure of womens' identity is happening right before our eyes, but there is no outcry, even from women themselves. This led to the idea of compiling TV images that share a common manipulative exploitation of womens' bodies, to let people know what is happening – not only people who never watch television, but especially those who watch it but “don't see.” The aim is to pose questions about the reason behind this erasure, a real “pogrom” of which all of us are silent spectators. The project pays special attention to the erasure of adult faces on television, to the use of plastic surgery to erase any sign of the passage of time, and to the social consequences of this erasure.
