“This is a travelogue of a country that is losing its faith in geography. One of the perennial issues concerns the nature of the ocean. Some people still think of the ocean as a river at the edge of the land. What balances this loss is a certain type of nostalgia that most often comes from the memory of colours and from the songs of aunts” (Flavio Bonetti).

“Language is a specific formalisation of expression that is assigned the role of transmitting orders to society.” “At school, language is placed in the mouth of the child, just as a pick is placed in the hands of a labourer. The teacher does not bring the children together to teach them the alphabet, but to teach them a system of orders. And when she asks a child what the sum of 2 + 2 equals she is not asking for information, she is giving an order.”
UntitledJanuary 31, 2002. Gallipoli Port, a pier exposed to the northern wind. While an elderly fisherman goes off to sea in his small boat, as he does every day, a large, unknown ship full of men and women floats through the waters a few miles from Gallipoli. In the meantime, the wait builds up back at the port.
UntitledWhat happens when a place is abandoned by humans? Thereby, where for a long time there have been temporary settlements of marginalised, rejected, undocumented communities in tents or dilapidated dwellings made from the waste materials of our welfare civilisation, when they are forcibly displaced, it is nature that takes their place. Here, the gaze moves in a forest on the outskirts of a city, which grew up where only twenty years earlier there was a Roma camp. Only at nightfall is it possible to glimpse the testimonies of these tenures, which emerge as remnants one cannot retain, like absurd intuitions that disappear as soon as one thinks have understood them.
UntitledAn Italian documentary that looks at how television manipulates and exploits women's bodies. It all started with the observation that women – real women – are an endangered species on television, one that is being replaced by a grotesque, vulgar and humiliating representation. This is an enormous loss: the erasure of womens' identity is happening right before our eyes, but there is no outcry, even from women themselves. This led to the idea of compiling TV images that share a common manipulative exploitation of womens' bodies, to let people know what is happening – not only people who never watch television, but especially those who watch it but “don't see.” The aim is to pose questions about the reason behind this erasure, a real “pogrom” of which all of us are silent spectators. The project pays special attention to the erasure of adult faces on television, to the use of plastic surgery to erase any sign of the passage of time, and to the social consequences of this erasure.
UntitledThe protagonist of this film is a building. On the perimeter of Rome like a monolith in the open countryside stands a municipal housing complex from the seventies: Corviale. This ravaged concrete structure, which stretches for over a kilometre, has become the embodiment of a failed utopia from an urban planner's drawing board. Designed as a self-sufficient city, for decades this “palazzo” has largely been left to the devices of its eight thousand residents.
The post-war period and the New World Order told through documentaries, war films, propaganda and photographs. Waco, Oklahoma City, September 11, the war on terrorism and Special Laws, the "Other America" and the destruction of the 10 amendments. Impero is born from the need to bring together counter-information and journalistic rigor, continuing the operation that began with the radio spots "Iraq 2 special edition", "death for sale" and "the black mirror of democracy".
