Urban Rhizomes is a workshop exploring the ambivalence of the natural world and social movements. Through an examination of certain trees and plants that contain both productive and destructive elements, we question political tendencies that reduce discourse to good/bad dichotomies. We can learn from and utilize natural forces in order to build the world we want to live in today without waiting for the collapse-in-progress to arrive in full force.

One of these was that he would only discuss his philosophical platform, and would not answer any questions. Nor were we to turn the camera on or off without permission. It became an enormous power struggle. Thus, this eloquent rant of the Urine Man's unique cosmology. Mysteriously, the Urine Man and his schoolbus/home disappeared the week after the filming, after being in the same location for at least ten years.”

UntitledThe CCIODH (International Civil Human Rights Watch Commission) travelled to Oaxaca-Mexico between the 16th of December 2006 and the 20th of January 2007, and interviewed 420 people involved in the conflict. The Commission has recorded 23 deaths since the 16th of May 2006. This video documents the Commission's visit through interviews with prisoners, authorities and activists who have no choice but to go underground.
