Counterpoint is a video installation I made from a poem by Mahmoud Darwish, who draws a portrait of Edward Said. I staged setting the poem, two faces of the same person in a black space. I wanted that the faces become separated from the space they float in.
Appears to be images recorded on the street, paradoxically superimposed with a commercial music audio track.

Footage of the sea and audio recordings of a conversation in which a sinking refugee ship urgently asks for help from the coast guard, and is met by bureaucratic red tape in response .... until the final silence.

An experimental documentary about the role corporations have played in shaping the American public's perceptions of the developing world.
