In 1975, a group of young Lebanese men were affiliated with the Palestinian Resistance Organization "Fateh". Some of them sacrified their life in the course of the Civil War. Now that the war has gone, a bunch of those fighters are considered survivors, but they keep themselves alive by nursing their souls with alcohols, poetry and laughter.
Memory of the Land, is a reflection of the human condition under the yoke of different forms of violence, collective memory and identity as forms of resilience. Palestine. A body is trapped at a checkpoint; an essential mechanism of the Israeli occupation. The body is pierced by structural and physical violence, which is aggressive and arbitrary and prevents and attacks its free movement and existence.

Bombs are heavy, peace has no weight.

Convinced that death cannot take their lives, they believe they are condemned to wander around waiting for the day when they will be released from their existence. This film is a tale of wanderings and escapes, on the borders of Nagorno-Karabakh, an Armenian enclave in Azerbaijan. Inhabited by the ghosts of the genocide and by the war that has been raging there for more than twenty years, the characters who traverse this film carry within them the melancholy of the eternal.
