Of how a small middle-class housing estate in Creil turned into a ghetto in the space of forty years, time enough for two generations to lose their sense of self in a context of everyday violence... The third part in a series coproduced by public television channel France 2 on the problems in the suburbs, Les Mauvais Garçons is a critique of immigration and urban planning policies of recent decades. The filmmakers spent two years getting to know the residents as part of their research. The result is an intimate portrait of a housing estate, portrayed in all its complexity, focusing on the stories of Ariadna, Eric, I-B, Zac and their mates.

UntitledIs it still possible to live a nomad's life today? Can a person continue to walk on multifarious paths that lead to ever-changing horizons? How can this void be filled' These disturbing questions are all the more acute in the arid lands of the Sahara and the Sahel, as their economy is gradually smothered, their population criminalised, and their territories ruthlessly coveted for their rich mining potential. In an effort to keep chaos and meaninglessness at bay and to resist the ultimate dispossession of the self – that of the imagination – forty-four Toureg poets gathered for three days and three nights in Agadez, in November 2006. The aim of the gathering was to join forces and define resonant pathways freed from the shackles that currently immobilise their society, and to reinvent new ways of weaving a present.
UntitledA shot of a few buildings in the middle of nowhere, and then the camera delves deep into exotic, luxuriant vegetation. We are in Tropical Islands, a leisure complex near Krausnick, a village 70 kilometres south of Berlin on the site of a former Soviet airbase. At this very spot, moving from one affectation to the next, the upheavals of the last century pile up like so much sediment. Europe's scars and contradictions, its mindscape, its dreams and illusions.

UntitledIn the forest, the herd of deer turns against the hound dogs that have been chasing them so far. From this unusual chase, new landscapes arise from the ground. This collage drama was made after an idea from a 19th century engraving.
UntitledIn a world where the economy is no longer at the service of mankind but precisely the opposite, productivity targets and management methods are pushing workers to the very limits of their endurance. Illness, industrial accidents and physical and psychological suffering are at unprecedented levels. The stories that men and women tell their doctor or psychologist, workplace inspectors and industrial tribunals show that there is an urgent need to rethink the way we work.
UntitledIn this documentary, Arnaud Desjardins traces the practices and traditional rites of the Tibetan people, meeting the Dalai Lama and other great spiritual masters of Buddhism and tantra.
UntitledI drift for several hours in the streets of Santiago in Chile, camera in the hand. In a district close to the Palace of Moneda, a man stands rigidly in the middle of the footpath. His body has become numb from years of solitude and suffering. Only the occasional glance from frightened passers-by connects him to society.
UntitledLogorama explores the extent to which logos are embedded in our daily existence. In the words of members of H5, "Logorama presents us with an over-marketed world built only from logos and real trademarks that are destroyed by a series of natural disasters (including an earthquake and a tidal wave of oil). Logotypes are used to describe an alarming universe (similar to the one that we are living in) with all the graphic signs that accompany us in our everyday lives. This over-organized universe is violently transformed when the cataclysm becomes fantastic and absurd. It shows the victory of the creative against the rational, where nature and human fantasy triumph.”
