One of the most beautiful and significant practices of the great jihad is the ritual ceremony of dhikr (zikr). Arabic word that means memory ... an intimate reconnection - but within a collective ceremony - with the mystery of the Real ... that is, with the indefinable, un-representable, inappropriate ... beyond all measure, physical or rational.

Travel through Mauritania in search of a tree. Throughout the journey, encounters with men and women who share their ways of seeing the world and life. For some, the tree is a sign from the invisible world, or a call from the light ... for others it is a tree only seen when you get lost.

The four stories in this film transports us from Belgium to the banks of the Senegal River, from the French Ardennes to the mountains of the Western Sahara.

What they have in common is that they lead us to meet the sleepers. Men and women moving between two worlds, that of the absent and that of the living, between two states, that of awake and that of sleep.

In each of these stories lies a mystery free from all belief, all philosophy, all attempts at explanation. A mystery capable of re-enchanting the reality.

In one of the least populated regions of the world, a few men lead lives in total solitude, spending months and months alone. This documentary tells the story of three of these men. Isolated from the world for different reasons, they survive in a suspended time of their own in one of the harshest environments of the world.

A video programme about India and the celebration every 12 years of the Kumbh Mela. This festival is considered as the "world's largest congregation of religious pilgrims". Kumbh Mela means an "assembly, meet, union" around "water or nectar of immortality".
