Encounter Point follows an Israeli settler, a Palestinian ex-prisoner, a bereaved Israeli mother and a wounded Palestinian bereaved brother who all sacrificed something precious as a result of the conflict. Yet they are at the vanguard of a movement to forge a new consensus for nonviolence and peace. Created by a Palestinian, Israeli, North and South American team, Encounter Point is about hope, courage and, implicitly, about the silence of journalists and politicians who ignore vital Palestinian and Israeli grassroots peace efforts. Encounter Point moves beyond sensational images, challenging us to look for the civic leaders in our midst.
