José, Victoria and Miquel are three of the people who have lived on the streets, or are very close to doing so. Antibiografies is a documentary about the lives of Barcelona’s homeless people, a hidden world that is less visible but no less real or alive than any other. The protagonists talk about how they survive, their relationships, and the occupation of public space. A vision of tod ay’s society from a marginal, frontier perspective.

The documentary "Between the book and the sword" portrays the Sikh community in the city of Barcelona and its surroundings, showing the contrast between the bustle and volatility of the city and a solid community with permanent social and cultural structures. Through the stories of some of its members, their flavors and the striking colors that fill the screen, we capture the intimacy of private space, the space of worship and prayer, and finally the occupation of public space. This film does not intend to show the totality of the Sikh community, but rather fragments of lived scenes that transport the viewer into an ethnographic experience. This video is part of the Educational Agreement of collaboration between the OVNI Archives and the Department of Anthropology of the University of Barcelona -  UAB , for the curricular external practices of the students, of the academic year 2022-2023.

IA is an exercise that explores the format of the interview – as testimony or as a document – and the values associated with it: transparency/manipulation, neutrality/ideology and subjectivity/objectivity. When the procedure is laid bare, the substance is transformed. It could also be described as a series of visions from a city undergoing a reverse metamorphosis, an encapsulation, we could say: Barcelona 1992. A series of interviews edited with the camera in 1992 and 1994, and subsequently compiled onto two DVDs. Through the manipulation of the ritual, the interview becomes a space in which processes of the construction of meaning are challenged. Meta-interviews, self-interviews, interviews with the medium, views.
